Wellbeing habits to help your skin

Sometimes skin concerns can appear with no explanation. Or at least, you think there’s no explanation.

Here are a few habits to pick up to help maintain balance in your skin, from the inside out.

Hydrate – Help dehydrated skin from the inside out by drinking plenty of water (at least 6-8 glasses a day!).

Nourish – A diet without a varied range of nutrients = excess oil and dull skin that’s more breakout prone. No thanks. Skip the beige and eat the rainbow!

Sleep – The body (and the skin) rejuvenates overnight. Fully rested skin is relaxed, radiant and glowing. 8-10 hours is magic to the skin!

Destress – A busy school schedule, revision, coursework and exams. We know. It’s easy to see how this can take its toll on the skin. Stress causes a hormone release, which in turn can cause spots, sensitivity and dryness.

Top tip: take time to slow down, breathe, maintain healthy daily routines, and keep up with hobbies, doing the things you love.

Move – Exercise is so important. Not just for the body, but for the skin too. Aside from the obvious fitness benefits, those 60 minutes a day, (however that looks), helps to improve skin elasticity, flush out toxins and keep pores clean.

Top tip: keep a pot of Cleansing Pads in your kit bag to
refresh and cleanse the skin post workout!
These small changes can go a long way to helping skin feel healthier and more hydrated, look brighter and clearer, and stay glowing.

“Gymnastics makes me feel confident and free – it’s the best way for me to clear my head of any stress. Training consistently also keeps me in a routine, so I naturally take better care of myself afterwards, such as eating well and looking after my skin”
